About Me #
Hi, I'm Rijnhardt Kotze — welcome to my little corner of the web.
By day I work with data: wrangling it, modelling it, and trying to coax stories out of the numbers. Away from the screen, you'll usually find me lost in classical music — whether that's a quietly devastating cello concerto or a symphony I've had on repeat for a week.
What I write about #
This blog is exactly what the name suggests: writing about things that interest me. In practice that means two recurring themes —
- Data — the tools, ideas, and occasional rabbit holes I run into while working with it.
- Classical music — pieces, composers, and performances worth paying attention to (see my notes on Weinberg's Cello Concerto for a taste).
…plus the odd detour into whatever else has my attention at the time. If that sounds like your thing, I'd love to have you read along.

I'm always happy to hear from readers — about a post, a piece of music, a data problem, or just to say hello.
