Romans 8:19-22.
Creation was subjected to futility. It did not choose this. It is a consequence of the fall (Gen 3:17-19).
It groans like a woman in labour. The pain is real, and it is going somewhere.
It waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.
It will be set free from its bondage to decay, into the glorious freedom of God’s children.
Creation’s future is tied to ours. Redemption includes the world itself.
